Alexis Hartwell-Gobeske

Alexis Hartwell-Gobeske is the managing attorney at Dynamic Law Group, PLLC and has been actively engaged in the cannabis industry since 2014 as counsel for licensees and applicants. She provides strategic guidance to clients designed to maximize success in the industry, and regularly serves as outside general counsel to cannabis licensees.Her skillset encompasses all facets of business operations, from formation to exit, including without limitation early-stage agreements such as operating shareholder agreements, leasing and real estate, zoning and land use, regulatory compliance, employment issues, growth stage transactions, and exit strategies.

She recently served as a mentor to the Social Equity in Cannabis Technical Assistance Program where she guided mentees through the initial application process and provided valuable instruction on topics relevant to aspiring cannabis licensees, such as ‘employment law basics’, ‘understanding corporate formalities’, ‘real estate nuts and bolts’, and ‘regulatory compliance’. Being entrenched in the cannabis industry, Alexis has witnessed the lack of diversity among business owners fueled by significant barriers to entry, including without limitation the high cost of start-up and regulatory hurdles in licensing. Alexis hopes to drive success into social equity license operations by providing valuable legal guidance during the licensing and initial operations phase.
